Baby Has Two Moms

No IVF in the Picture Yet.

We had a consult with Dr. McDreamy earlier this week and he has a new suggestion. He thinks that I should be pregnant by now. While the HSG we took last year was good he wants to do a laproscopy to look for endometriosis. While the thought of a laproscopy doesn’t necessarily appeal to me,  if there is something in there that is keeping me from getting pregnant it could also (likely) effect the IVF. So…it doesn’t make sense to do the IVF until we are sure and then not straight to IVF. McDreamy says that if we find something and then treat it he’d like to go back to the medicated IUIs for a few cycles. So, I suppose in a way this is good news, right?

  1. If he thinks there are alternative routes rather than doing the IVF, then that’s good!
Obviously, we are not hoping that it is endometriosis, but if there’s a fixable something that he finds, that’s good news, right?

  2. Yes! You are armed with a strategy, which is much better than marching blindly into battle. I have severe endo and PCOS. I suffered three years of recurrent miscarriage and two years of infertility before I got pregnant with Mikaela. She is my miracle baby. Medical science is so amazing. That, in tandem with TCM – traditional chinese medicine (i.e., acupuncture and chinese herbs)was my ticket. I wish you the best of luck!!!! :))
