Baby Has Two Moms

Dirty Tricks or Symptoms??

We did insems on Monday and Tuesday and started Prometrium yesterday. While the weepiness and sore boobs haven’t kicked in yet I have been sleeping all weekend and ravenous. Prometrium is a dirty trick to play on a woman TTC. The progesterone gives you all of the symptoms of pregnancy without necessarily being pregnant. After last time’s BFN I’m trying not to be overly optimistic, but at the same time I can’t help thinking that this isn’t the Prometrium but our own little bub after all!

  3. Ah, the joys of Prometrium. The only benefit (other than the medical, obviously) is that it gives you an easy out if you’re determined not to believe any possible pregnancy symptoms you notice. The other good news is that if you’re continuing to take it after you get your positive, it does get better over time so that you don’t notice it any more. Trust me, I’m on 200mg, 3x daily!

  4. The Prometrium turns me into a basketcase, too. The first month we did it, I was convinced I was pregnant. It delayed my period by more than a week. I’ve been taking it for four cycles now, and my system seems to be getting accustomed to it. Now it only holds me back for a couple of days. I’m on 200 mgs, twice/day. Good luck!
